Who: This article is for Flux community members wanting to learn about the latest releases, developers seeking more streamlined deployment paths, and teams looking for a private AI solution to adopt into their stack.

What to Do: Watch the full AMA linked in this article.

Next Steps: Visit the FluxCloud dashboard → New App Registration → select Deploy with Git to launch apps directly from Git repos.

Introduction

Hello Fluxers! We hosted an AMA to review critical ecosystem updates. We discussed a new Deploy with Git feature, updates to FluxCloud and FluxAI, and an exciting new partnership. Let’s dive in!

Deploy with Git

The first new release we covered in the AMA is Deploy with Git. This feature is for developers without Docker experience or for small teams without the capacity to manage complex, hands-on Docker processes. Deploy with Git will be revolutionary for Flux!

This feature enables users to take any open-source application from GitHub, copy it to their own repository, and deploy and run it on the Flux network in as few as three clicks. Deploy with Git automatically detects app frameworks and manages deployments directly from their linked repos, seamlessly running them on the Flux network.

Deploy with Git provides a straightforward path to deployment for developers and enables fluid vibe coding. Think of Deploy with Git as a decentralized Vercel. You vibe-code an app in Claude and automate its deployment on FluxCloud with state rollbacks and app updates pushed automatically.

The name of the game with Deploy with Git is automation, so users never have to worry about the background work. Deploy with Git features unlimited builds, so if you’re vibe coding new updates in your app’s Git repo, they will be pushed to the live version automatically.

Additionally, Build logs are detected automatically, so teams don’t have to scramble to prep new Docker images or onboard new registration platforms. Simply copy and paste your repo URL and hit deploy!

App renewals also occur automatically, and users with only one app running on the network won’t incur additional charges. Renewals will be charged only for teams with more than one app deployed via Git.

There are three monthly plans for Deploy with Git: Standard, Pro, and Custom. Standard and Pro plans offer fixed compute with preconfigured resources. If your application requires specific specs to run, you can customize your resources in the Custom plan. All of the plans include one month of free deployments.

FluxCloud Updates

  1. New Benchmark Update: A new performance benchmark that brings improved resource allocation and management.
  1. Single-Instance Support for Marketplace Apps: Flux Marketplace apps will be updated to support single-instance deployments for more cost-effective hosting. For example, gamers on FluxPlay can now more affordably set up and host decentralized single-instance game servers.
  1. Free Tier for WordPress on FluxCloud: WordPress now offers a free plan to simplify site testing on the network.
  1. WatchTower Update: The WatchTower app is currently running on every FluxNode and tracks app installations across all nodes, automatically detecting and pushing updates from the corresponding GitHub repositories. This update will significantly improve the efficiency of app update tracking.
  1. Progressive Node Rewards: PNRs are finally releasing in Q2 2026 and will be allocated to nodes running ArcaneOS. PNR will come with a feature that automatically tracks node provisioning to determine PNR eligibility. If your nodes are overprovisioned with resources, those nodes will not receive additional rewards for the month.

Node operators in Flux can uninstall apps they don’t want running on their nodes, effectively creating an overprovisioned ghost node where app workloads are hosted but don’t execute, while the node operator still collects PNR. We have released a new feature, Vetted Apps, to address this.
  1. Vetted Apps: The Vetted Apps feature centralizes app installation authority, preventing individual node operators from uninstalling applications on their nodes that they don’t want running.

If a node operator wants an app uninstalled on their node, they must now open a support ticket, provide the reason for the uninstall, and the Flux team will decide whether to uninstall the app or leave it running. Every app deployed on Flux deserves a chance to run effectively, and Vetted Apps will protect node operators and app developers.

FluxAI

FluxAI was significantly boosted by the release of our agentic platform, FluxAgents, in 2025. We are now introducing new product offerings to significantly expand our automation capabilities:

  1. Sovereign AI: Sovereign AI by FluxAI is a new, privately installed and trained chat model that uses no input data for training, is built using open-source Frontier LLMs, can be hosted on-premises or in a private cloud, and enables complete data sovereignty, giving users full control over how their data is stored and used.

Sovereign AI features zero-data persistence, meaning that interactions are isolated and sensitive inputs won’t bleed across chats, keeping proprietary data in-memory. Sovereign AI is built using open-source LLMs because FluxAI is not in the model-building business. We have no reason to retain your data, so Sovereign AI leverages open-source LLM infrastructure to enable on-premises configurations for private model adoption.
  2. Website Assistant: The second new product launch from FluxAI is a website assistant builder that lets users customize the assistant’s knowledge base with proprietary datasets to automate website tasks, including customer outreach/follow-up or account management. Data used to train the assistant’s knowledge base is stored privately on your infrastructure and never shared across assistant outputs.
  1. BeaverAI: FluxAI announced Beaver AI, a new decentralized AI note-taking application to be deployed on FluxCloud later this year.
  1. FluxGEN: The FluxONE AI image generator has been upgraded with improved multimodal functionality. FluxGEN now supports image-to-image generation; users can upload an image to guide the generation process, enabling more refined results. FluxGEN improves on FluxONE by not only generating image outputs but also interpreting uploaded image inputs. Users can upload two images, and FluxGEN will combine them into a unified, cohesive image.

Flux X Strateji Partnership

Lastly, in the AMA, we announced that Flux has partnered with Strateji.io, an African ethics and AI advisory firm, to spread privacy-focused AI across the continent by building Africa’s first decentralized cloud and AI network.

African users currently lack data sovereignty, and traditional cloud providers charge exorbitant fees for computing infrastructure in the region. This partnership will bring decentralized computing to Africa, powering sustainable AI development and enabling much more affordable application deployment for African users.

Conclusion

The January 28 Flux AMA featured a significant wave of feature releases and updates that will help solidify its position as a leading decentralized cloud and AI ecosystem. The AMA detailed Deploy with Git, a new FluxCloud feature that lets users deploy apps directly from Git repositories with no Docker expertise. The AMA also covered new FluxCloud updates, including benchmark improvements, WatchTower enhancements, and a free WordPress plan on FluxCloud

Additionally, we reviewed recent FluxAI developments, and the team has been very busy developing new product offerings to expand automation capabilities. FluxAI announced a new private chat model called Sovereign AI, a website assistant, an upcoming decentralized note-taker app called Beaver AI, and a FluxONE revamp with FluxGEN that now allows users to upload images they want to use to influence the generation process.

Lastly, we announced a new partnership with Strateji.io to bring decentralized computing infrastructure to Africa for the first time, significantly boosting data sovereignty across underserved regions.

Overall, these updates represent Flux’s ongoing commitment to ecosystem growth through initiatives that empower users and developers. Flux is delivering tools that make participation in decentralized networks seamless and affordable.
