On May 21, Flux hosted an AMA unveiling new ecosystem updates from FluxCloud and FluxAI. This article will cover all of the juicy updates, so let’s dive in!
What are the FluxCloud Updates?
New CPU Benchmark
This AMA covered several significant feature upgrades for FluxCloud. Firstly, Valter and his team, the mad geniuses behind FluxCloud, unveiled a new operating benchmark for FluxNodes to improve CPU functionality: v6.3.0.
ArcaneOS Updates & Dedicated App Websites
Next, an updated version of ArcaneOS, based on the recently released Ubuntu 26.04, will introduce a new, more robust encryption system for network applications. We are also releasing dedicated websites for Flux apps.
For example, when we released OpenClaw on FluxCloud, we created a dedicated site specifically for this service: OpenClaw on Flux.
Each website will feature dedicated SEO tailored to specific FluxCloud network apps, including a new website just for FluxCloud Deploy with Git, making it a little more straightforward to launch an app on the network.
FluxCloud App Specs v9
In this AMA, the team also showed off a new app specifications update: Flux Network App Specs v9. The goal of the new app specs is to simplify app deployment on FluxCloud.
V9 app specs will accomplish this by introducing referral codes that allow users to register more easily for the apps they need. Referral codes can be used to set up personal, dedicated servers for games hosted on FluxPlay.
When users register for an app with a referral code, hosting the app will be discounted on FluxCloud. Additionally, users who provide referral codes receive a percentage from every in-app purchase and renewal fee when someone registers through their code. We want everyone, regardless of region or experience level, to be able to spawn applications on the network.
Another exciting aspect of the v9 app specs is that instead of solely renting an app, Fluxers will be able to purchase Virtual Private Server (VPS) plans on FluxCloud.
Some users may want to rent a machine without a specific app and run multiple apps on it; a VPS service will provide this flexibility. When VPS plans are rolled out later this summer, they will come with a dedicated website.
What is going on with FluxAI?
Daz and the FluxAI team turned up for the next part of the AMA to discuss new updates to FluxAI Beaver and VoiceDesk.
Beaver
AI notetakers and meeting transcription apps like Otter record meeting audio and store it on third-party servers, meaning your data is not under your control. Those concerns are gone with FluxAI Beaver, a meeting assistant that gives a (beaver) DAM about your privacy. Yes, the pun was intended.
The FluxAI team revealed updates to Beaver’s Magic Whiteboard feature—an AI-generated meeting platform that provides meeting summaries and transcripts. The Whiteboard can be used to host team meetings, and the platform automatically populates meeting agendas from uploaded prep notes to help keep discussions on topic.
Beaver transcriptions are encrypted and generated through voice-to-text, so no meeting audio is ever recorded or stored. Additionally, the Beaver whiteboard enables users to schedule recurring meetings.
Now, for more accurate meeting transcriptions, the Beaver whiteboard does allow meeting audio to be recorded, but this is a permissioned feature that only works if all attendees consent and opt in to the recording.
VoiceDesk
VoiceDesk converts company intelligence (product data and documentation) into something a client can directly communicate with via voice, such as an AI receptionist. This app is amazing. Test out a demo for yourself!
Conclusion
Overall, one fact stands out from this AMA: Flux is becoming a universal, decentralized cloud ecosystem for diverse applications and automated systems, while fostering community engagement and simplified deployment.
FluxCloud’s upcoming app specs v9, VPS plans, dedicated app websites, ArcaneOS improvements, and new CPU benchmarking systems all point toward making decentralized cloud deployment easier for real users, developers, node operators, and businesses.
On the FluxAI side, Beaver and VoiceDesk continue to demonstrate the Flux ability to adapt and innovate. We can move beyond infrastructure into practical, everyday AI utility.
Privacy-focused meeting intelligence, permissioned transcription, AI-generated agendas, and voice-based company assistants are exactly the kinds of products that will continue to drive tangible growth amongst users.
If you missed the AMA, the takeaway is simple: FluxCloud is becoming easier to deploy on, easier to monetize, and easier to use. Pay attention because the future runs on Flux.
