1. There is no server browser
Satisfactory does not list dedicated servers publicly. A server "shows up" only in the Server Manager of players who have added it by address. Open the Server Manager, choose Add Server, and enter the address and port. See our guide to joining a server.
2. Is it the right address and port?
The port is part of the address. A stock server listens on 7777, but a server behind a host may use another number: on Flux, use the address and port shown in the dashboard, not 7777 by default.
3. Has the server finished starting?
The first start downloads the dedicated server from Steam, and every later start checks for an update first. A server that is still starting shows as offline in the Server Manager. On Flux the dashboard shows the server's state and its live log while it starts.
4. Are both ports reachable?
| Port | Protocol | What it is for |
|---|---|---|
| 7777 | TCP and UDP | Game traffic and the server's HTTPS API |
| 8888 | TCP | Reliable messaging, since update 1.1 |
Forward 7777 over BOTH TCP and UDP, and 8888 over TCP; opening 7777 for only one protocol is a common slip. A setup written before update 1.1 may be missing 8888 altogether.
5. Does the outside port match the inside one?
The game does not support redirecting its standard port. If the router or container publishes the server on a different number from the one it listens on, keep the two the same.
6. Is it the same game version?
After a game update, a server that has not updated yet and a player who has will not match. Restart the server to update it. A server on Flux updates from Steam on every start, so a restart is the whole update.
What this looks like on managed hosting
On a server deployed on Flux, the ports are opened and routed for you with the same number inside and out, and the server is claimed in one click on the Overview tab. What is left is adding the right address and port in the Server Manager, and waiting for the first start, which the dashboard shows you.
Frequently asked questions
Why is my Satisfactory server not in the server browser?
Satisfactory has no public server browser. Add the server by address and port in the in-game Server Manager.
Why does my Satisfactory server show as offline in the Server Manager?
Most often it is still starting, the port entered is wrong, or port 7777 is not open over both TCP and UDP.
Which ports does a Satisfactory server need?
7777 over TCP and UDP, and 8888 over TCP. The outside port numbers must match the inside ones.
Do I need port 8888?
Yes, since update 1.1. It carries the server's reliable messaging over TCP.
