Add the server
- Start Vintage Story and sign in with your game account.
- Open Multiplayer and press Add Server.
- Paste the address and the port (they can go in as one line, address:port) and give it a name.
- Select it and press Connect; type the password if the server asks for one.
Or find it in the list
A server whose owner listed it (AdvertiseServer, Public Server List in our Deployment Settings) appears in the game's public server browser under its name. Since 1.20 servers are not listed unless their owner chooses to.
Same version, same mods
- Your game must run the same Vintage Story version as the server. The launcher updates your game; a server owner who pinned an older version tells you which one to install.
- If the server has mods, the game offers to download the missing ones from the ModDB when you join.
If you cannot get in
- "Not on the whitelist": the owner adds your exact player name in the Roles & Access tab.
- Banned: only an admin can lift it.
- Timed out: check the port, and that the server is up in the dashboard.
