How to Join a Friend's 7 Days to Die Server

How you join a 7 Days to Die dedicated server depends on where you play. PC players can connect straight to the address; console players find a crossplay server in the public list.

On PC

  1. Ask the server owner for the address and the port, 26900. On Flux both are shown in the dashboard.
  2. In 7 Days to Die, choose to join a game and connect by address.
  3. Enter the address and port 26900.
  4. If the server has a password, enter it when asked.

On PS5 or Xbox

Console players can join only a crossplay server, and a crossplay server is listed publicly, so look for it by name in the game's server list. On Flux that is the Crossplay 8GB plan; the PC 12GB and PC 16GB plans are for PC players only.

If you are the owner

Set the server name, and a password if you want one, in the dashboard's Server Settings tab. The RCON tab shows who is online and can make you an admin.

Cannot connect?

  • Give a new server a few minutes: the first start downloads the server from Steam.
  • Check that you are on the same game build as the server: stable, or the experimental build a PC server may be set to.
  • On console, check that the server is still within the crossplay rules; otherwise it drops out of the list.

Every cause, in the order to check them, is in our guide to a 7 Days to Die server not showing up.
