BeamMP Maps: Stock and Custom

A BeamMP server runs one map, and every player loads it. Here are the stock ones by folder name, and how to run a modded map.

Stock maps

The Map setting takes a path: /levels/<folder>/info.json. Every BeamNG.drive install has these, so players download nothing for them. West Coast USA was the most played map on public servers on 2026-10-18, on 692 of 2,938.

Modded maps

  1. Put the map's .zip in the server's mods (Resources/Client). Players download it as they join.
  2. Find the folder inside the zip: levels/<folder>/info.json.
  3. Set Map to /levels/<folder>/info.json, with the folder spelled exactly as in the zip, capitals included.
  4. Restart the server: it reads the map when it starts.
Tip:On Flux the image looks inside every mod for that folder: upload the map in the Mods tab and it is listed in the Maps tab by name. Picking it restarts the server for about ten seconds. A map whose mod is off cannot be picked, so the server is never sent to a map nobody can download.

Frequently asked questions

What is the default BeamMP map?

Gridmap V2 (/levels/gridmap_v2/info.json). On Flux new servers start on West Coast USA, and you pick any map at deploy time.

Why does my custom map not load?

The folder in the Map path must match the one inside the zip exactly, and the map's mod must be in Resources/Client. On Flux the Maps tab only offers maps it found in an enabled mod.
