Which file
- Enhanced servers keep the world in ConanSandbox/Saved/game_0.db.
- Servers on the old game kept it in ConanSandbox/Saved/game.db.
- game_0_backup_1.db and up are the server's own rotating copies: useful if the main file is damaged.
Moving it
- Stop the old server, so the file is complete (the database is written as the game goes).
- Download the file from the old host's file manager or FTP.
- Put it in the new server's ConanSandbox/Saved with the new server stopped, and start it.
From the old game to Enhanced
When an Enhanced server finds game.db and no game_0.db, it converts the old world on its first start, which takes longer than a normal start. The conversion is one way: the converted world no longer opens on a server running the old game, so keep your original file. Isle of Siptah bases from the old separate Siptah map did not come across to Enhanced's combined map.
Tip:On Flux, the World & Backups tab uploads game_0.db or game.db, backs up the current world, puts the new one in place and restarts the server. The same tab downloads your backups, so moving away is just as easy.
Frequently asked questions
Can I move my Conan Exiles world from G-Portal or Nitrado?
Yes: download game_0.db (or game.db from an older server) from their file manager with the server stopped, and upload it in the World & Backups tab.
Will my old Conan Exiles world work on Enhanced?
Yes, the Enhanced server converts game.db on its first start. It is one way, so keep a copy of the original.
