Browse Games
- Play, then Browse Games.
- Search for the server's exact name.
- Pick it, type the password if it has one, choose a character.
Filters hide servers that do not match them: play style, game mode, a password, mods, a full server. Clear them if the server is not there.
Direct connect
From the main menu, open the console and type c_connect("address", 11000), with the address and port from the dashboard; for a server with a password, c_connect("address", 11000, "password").
Into the Caves
Nobody connects to the Caves directly. Players walk down a sinkhole on the surface (mine it open with a pickaxe first) and the game moves them to the Caves world; the stairs bring them back up.
Frequently asked questions
Why can my friends not find my Don't Starve Together server?
Check the exact name and clear the Browse Games filters. A server running an older build than the players is hidden from them too; ours restarts onto new builds by itself.
Can I join a Don't Starve Together server by IP?
Yes, from the main menu console: c_connect("address", port), with an optional third argument for the password.
