In game: the GM key
The server's -adminpsw option sets the GM password. In game, press ~ to open the console and type gm key followed by the password, then open the GM panel. On Flux it is the GM (Admin) Password in Deployment Settings, generated for you if you leave it empty.
The maintenance console
The server also opens a text console on its echo port (TCP 18888), bound only on the machine itself. Its help lists 40 commands; these are the ones admins use most.
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
| lp | Online players, with their account (SteamID64) |
| lap / lg | Every player the world knows; every tribe |
| say <text> | A system message to every player |
| sav 1 | Save the world to disk now |
| usp 1 1 <id> / usp 1 0 <id> | Block or unblock an account (a ban) |
| usp 4 1 <id> | Mute an account |
| lsp | The ban and mute lists |
| lc <text> / sc <name> <value> | Show or set gameplay values live |
| qi | The invite code |
| fps | Server frame rate and the world's counts |
| close <seconds> | Save and shut down after a countdown |
On Flux, the Server Console tab is that console from the browser, inside the container, with nothing opened to the internet: the roster, message everyone, save, ban, mute, set a value, restart with a countdown and any command. A restart there goes through the server's supervisor, so it starts again on its own.
Frequently asked questions
How do I become admin on my Soulmask server?
Press ~ in game and type gm key followed by the server's GM password, then open the GM panel.
How do I ban a player?
With the console command usp 1 1 followed by their SteamID64, or from the Access tab or Server Console on Flux. The ban survives restarts.
