Arma Reforger Crossplay Servers

Arma Reforger is one game on PC, Xbox and PlayStation 5, and a dedicated server can take players from all three. Consoles cannot host a dedicated server, so a rented one is how console groups get a server of their own.

The platform setting

The server config lists the platforms it accepts. Every Flux server starts with all three. Who can join in Deployment Settings offers three choices:

  • PC, Xbox and PlayStation 5: full crossplay.
  • PC and Xbox: for a server running mods with scripts.
  • PC only.

PlayStation 5 and mods

Since Update 1.4, PlayStation 5 players can join modded servers, but PS5 only loads data mods, the ones that add content without scripts. One script mod in the list keeps every PS5 player out. Xbox and PC load both kinds. So a server with script mods should be set to PC and Xbox, and a server that wants PS5 players should keep to data mods.

Finding the server on console

Console players search the in-game server browser for the server's exact name; they cannot join by address. A server that does not accept their platform does not show up for them at all.

Frequently asked questions

Does Arma Reforger have crossplay on dedicated servers?

Yes. A dedicated server can accept PC, Xbox and PlayStation 5 players together; the server config decides which.

Can PS5 players join a modded Arma Reforger server?

Yes, if every mod is a data mod. PlayStation 5 cannot load mods that contain scripts, so one script mod keeps PS5 players out.

Can I host an Arma Reforger server on Xbox or PS5?

No. Consoles cannot run a dedicated server; console players join one hosted on a PC or rented from a host.
