Soulmask Server Mods

Soulmask mods live on the Steam Workshop. A dedicated server loads them from a list of Workshop IDs on its command line.

Finding a mod's ID

Open the mod on the Steam Workshop (Soulmask is app 2646460): the ID is the number at the end of its link, after ?id=.

Adding mods to the server

Pass the IDs, comma separated, with the -mod= option, then restart. The server downloads them from the Steam Workshop when it starts, and players need the same mods (subscribe to them on the Steam Workshop).

Tip:On Flux, paste IDs or links into Workshop Mods in Deployment Settings (Advanced). The Mods tab lists each one with its title, size and last update, and flags anything that is not a Soulmask item.

Good habits

  • Take a backup before adding a mod to a world you care about (the World tab on Flux).
  • Add mods one at a time, so a problem has one suspect.
  • Removing a mod a world depends on can leave things behind in that world.

Frequently asked questions

Do players have to install the mods themselves?

Yes: players need the same mods as the server. Subscribe to each one on the Steam Workshop before joining (the Mods tab links them).
