What the main settings do
- GrowthMultiplier: how fast dinosaurs grow up. 1 is the game's normal pace.
- AIDensity: how much wildlife spawns. It is also the biggest lever on memory.
- bEnableMigration, SpeciesMigrationTime: food zones that move, so herds and hunters move too. Mass migrations move everything at once, every MassMigrationTime seconds.
- bEnableDiets: dinosaurs need a balanced diet rather than any food.
- ServerDayLengthMinutes, ServerNightLengthMinutes: 45 and 25 by default.
- bEnableSpawnCodes: a player shares a code to spawn next to a friend. bUseRegionSpawning: players choose the region they spawn in.
- CorpseDecayMultiplier: how fast bodies rot away. bServerFallDamage, bServerDynamicWeather: as named.
- AllowedClasses, DisallowedAIClasses, EnabledMutations: the playable dinosaurs, the wildlife the AI may not spawn, and the mutations that roll.
On Flux every one of these is a switch or a number in the Server Settings and Dinosaurs tabs, and AI density, growth and the main toggles also change live from the Server Console.
Frequently asked questions
Where is Game.ini on an Evrima server?
TheIsle/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/Game.ini on Linux. The server rewrites it as it runs, so edit it while the server is stopped, or use a panel that writes it before each start.
What is a good growth multiplier?
1 for realism, 2 to 4 for a casual server. Very high values stop growth working.
