Mods are the big one
Nitrado's V Rising FAQ says its V Rising hosting does not currently support modding. If your clan wants server mods (QoL tweaks, extra commands, reworked progression from the Thunderstore community), that alone decides it. Here, the dashboard's Mods tab lists Thunderstore's V Rising server mods and installs one with a click, with BepInEx put in place alongside the first.
One honest caveat, true on any host: the first start with BepInEx, and the first after each game update, takes longer while the loader prepares itself, up to 15 minutes. Later starts reuse that work.
Slots versus memory
Nitrado sells V Rising by the slot, and the slot count is the player limit you pay for. Plans here are sized by the hardware instead: each states its RAM and cores and reserves them for your server, and the player limit is the server's own setting. A clan that grows does not buy seats; it moves up a plan only if the world needs more memory.
When Nitrado is the better choice
- You play on PlayStation 5. Nitrado rents PS5 V Rising servers; we host PC servers only.
- You want a vanilla server in one of Nitrado's cities and prefer its interface, which many players already know.
Moving a world across
Nitrado documents downloading your V Rising save over FTP. A save is a folder of AutoSave files: upload it with the file browser here into the server's Saves/v4 folder, under the name in its SaveName setting, and start the server. Your world and its castles come with it.
