Why Host Your V Rising Server on Flux?

V Rising is a game about a place you build and keep: a castle, a clan, a world that carries on between sessions. Host it from your own game and it exists only while you are playing. A dedicated V Rising server keeps your world running around the clock, so your clan logs in on its own schedule and nobody's progress depends on one person being at their desk.

Flux is a decentralized cloud that runs on thousands of independent nodes across 50+ countries, rather than in a single company's datacentre. There is no shared centre to lose: the failure of any one node is a local event, not an outage. Your plan reserves its own CPU and RAM instead of taking a slice of a shared box.

The awkward parts of running one are handled. The server is a Windows program, and on Flux it runs under Wine in a container you never have to build. Its game and query ports are opened and routed for you, enterprise-grade DDoS protection is included on every plan, and the server checks its files against Steam on every start, so a new build is a restart rather than a maintenance job.

You still get an ordinary management panel: start, stop and restart the server, edit its settings files, browse the files, open a live terminal, and take backups. Plans start at $6.99/month, billing is pay-as-you-go with no contract, and your saves are downloadable whenever you want them.

How to Set Up Your V Rising Server

No SteamCMD, no Wine, no port forwarding. Go from sign-up to a live dedicated server in four steps.

01

Create an account

Sign up free in seconds with Google, email, or a Flux (ZelCore / SSP) wallet. No commitment.

02

Pick a plan

Choose the 8, 10 or 12 GB plan for the size of your clan. You can change it later from the dashboard.

03

Choose a region

Select a server location from 50+ countries worldwide so your world runs close to your players.

04

Name it and deploy

Give the server the name your players will see in the list and deploy. The first start downloads the server from Steam, so give it a few minutes before you go looking for it.

We don't sell player slots. The player count on each plan is a guide to what its CPU and RAM handle comfortably, not a limit we enforce: how many can join is the server's own MaxConnectedUsers setting, and it is yours to change.

V Rising Server Features Explained

Plans sized for your clan, not locked to it

The plans recommend groups of about ten, twenty and thirty players, and those figures are sizing guidance for each plan's CPU and memory. How many can actually join is the server's own MaxConnectedUsers setting, and it is yours to set, the same on every plan.

PvE or PvP, and the rest of the rules

The world's rules live in ServerGameSettings.json: the game mode, difficulty, rates, castle limits and more. The server itself (its name, password, player limit and whether it is listed) lives in ServerHostSettings.json. Edit either from the file browser and restart to apply it.

Admins and bans by Steam ID

Admin rights come from adminlist.txt, one SteamID64 per line, re-read without a restart. Bans made in game are written to banlist.txt, which you can also edit by hand.

Updates are a restart

The server checks its files against Steam every time it starts, so moving onto a new build needs no reinstall. The first start downloads the whole server and V Rising can take up to ten minutes to finish launching, so give a new server a little time.

PC players, one server

V Rising's PC and PlayStation 5 versions run on separate servers with no crossplay. A server hosted here runs the PC dedicated server, for Steam players.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our hosting service

Plans start at $6.99/month for 2 vCores, 8 GB of RAM and 10 GB of storage, $8.49/month for 3 vCores, 10 GB and 15 GB, and $9.99/month for 4 vCores, 12 GB and 20 GB. Billing is pay-as-you-go with no long-term contract.
As many as the server's MaxConnectedUsers setting allows (40 by default), and that is yours to set. Stunlock documents 128 as the most the server technically supports. Each plan recommends a group size (about 10, 20 or 30 players) as guidance for its CPU and memory; we do not enforce those numbers.
Pick by the size of the group that will actually be online together. The 8 GB plan suits a clan of about ten, the 10 GB plan a community server of about twenty, and the 12 GB plan a large server of about thirty. You can move up later from the dashboard.
The server is provisioned in about 30 seconds. Its first start then downloads the dedicated server from Steam, and V Rising itself can take up to ten minutes to finish launching, so give a new server a little while before you look for it.
Yes. The game mode is part of the server's game settings (ServerGameSettings.json), alongside difficulty, rates and castle limits. A change takes effect at the next restart.
Through the in-game server list, or by connecting directly to the server's address. If the server has a password, join from the in-game list, because the image's own documentation notes that joining a passworded server through Steam does not work.
