Live console

A real terminal into the container, beside the server log as it happens.

Saves and mods

Load any save, upload your own factory, and add mods from the mod portal with their dependencies.

Why Host Your Factorio Server on Flux?

A shared factory is better when it is always there: friends log in at different hours, the trains keep running, and nobody has to leave their own PC on for everyone else. A dedicated Factorio server keeps your map online around the clock, on your settings and your mods.

Every plan here has dedicated vCores and memory, reserved for your server rather than shared, on a decentralized cloud of thousands of independent nodes across 50+ countries.

The fiddly parts are handled. The server runs Factorio’s stable release, the one Steam installs, and moves to the next one by itself, so nobody is locked out by a version mismatch; the experimental branch or one exact release is a choice in the dashboard. Space Age is one switch, the ports are opened and routed for you, your saves are synced to a standby node, and enterprise-grade DDoS protection is included on every plan.

You still get an ordinary management panel: server-settings.json as a form, an RCON console, a file browser for your saves and mods, a live terminal and backups. Plans start at $2.49/month, billing is pay-as-you-go with no contract, and your saves are downloadable whenever you want them.

Factorio Server Features Explained

Always the version your players have

Factorio only lets a player join a server running exactly their version. The server runs the stable release, the one Steam installs, and moves to each new one within hours of its release, without you doing anything. Playing on the experimental branch, or holding a modpack on one exact release? Pick it on the dashboard’s Game Version tab, free, and switch back whenever you like.

Space Age, or the base game

The expansion, with quality, elevated rails and the new planets, is on by default. Switch it off in Deployment Settings for a base-game server that every Factorio owner can join.

Your single-player factory, online

Upload a save from your own game with the Files tab and restart: the server always loads the newest save it has. Mods go the same way, into the mods folder, and players are offered the same set when they join.

An RCON console in the dashboard

See who is online, kick, ban and unban, promote admins, save the map and run any command, with the RCON password the server generated read for you. Bans are kept in the server’s ban list and survive restarts.

Saved on every stop

The server autosaves every ten minutes and writes the map when it stops, which took a tenth of a second in our tests. Saves, mods and settings live on a volume synced to a standby node, and a backup takes all of them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our hosting service

$2.49/month for 2 GB of RAM (2 vCores, 15 GB of storage), $2.99/month for 4 GB (2 vCores, 20 GB) and $5.49/month for 8 GB (3 vCores, 30 GB). Billing is pay-as-you-go with no long-term contract.
Stable by default: the release Steam and factorio.com install, and it moves to each new stable release by itself within hours. You can switch the server to the experimental branch, which it then follows the same way, or pin one exact release, at deploy or later on the Game Version tab, free and keeping your saves. Factorio only lets a player join a server on exactly their version, so an experimental server needs its players on Steam's experimental beta, and a save opened by a newer version does not load on an older one.
Yes. Space Age (with quality and elevated rails) is on by default and is one switch in Deployment Settings. Only players who own the expansion can join a server running it; turn it off for a base-game server anyone can join.
Yes. Upload the .zip from your saves folder in the Saves tab and press Load: the server saves the map it runs, then restarts into yours. Make sure the save matches the server's Space Age setting.
As many as you like: Factorio's max_players is 0, unlimited, unless you set a limit in Server Settings. What grows with time is the factory, which is what the plans are sized by.
In Factorio, open Multiplayer, Connect to address, and paste the address and port from the dashboard. To appear in Browse public games as well, add your factorio.com username and token in Server Settings.
