Why Host Your Core Keeper Server on Flux?

A Core Keeper world is a long dig: the base around the Core, the farms, the automated mines and the bosses still waiting below. Hosted from someone's own game, it stops when they log off. A dedicated Core Keeper server keeps it there for the whole crew, whoever is playing.

Every plan has dedicated vCores and memory reserved for your server on a decentralized cloud of thousands of independent nodes across 50+ countries. Steam players join with the Game ID, and friends on the Epic Games Store, the Microsoft Store and GOG join by IP on the same server.

The fiddly parts are handled. Keep up to 30 worlds and switch between them, start new ones with their own mode and seed, or upload your single-player world. Upload mods from mod.io, make admins and lift bans from the browser. An outdated server refuses players on the new version, so this one checks Steam every 30 minutes and restarts onto a new build as soon as nobody is playing.

You still get an ordinary management panel: a file browser, a live terminal and backups. Plans start at $4.49/month, billing is pay-as-you-go with no contract, and your worlds are downloadable whenever you want them.

Core Keeper Server Features Explained

Two ways in: Game ID and IP

A Core Keeper server has a Game ID, which Steam players paste into Join via Game ID: it goes through Steam's relay and needs nothing opened. Players on the Epic Games Store, the Microsoft Store and GOG join by IP instead, with one line that holds the address, the port and the password. Both are kept on your server, never in the public app listing, and you can change either if it gets out.

Thirty worlds on one server

The server keeps worlds in 30 slots and plays one. Switch between them, start a new world in Normal, Hard, Casual or Creative with the seed you want, or bring the world from your own game: it is the same file. Characters stay with each player.

Mods, admins and bans

Upload a mod's .zip from mod.io and switch mods on and off; they are kept on the data volume, so they survive the server moving to another node. Make anyone admin from the list of players who have played, and lift bans, without touching a file.

Never left behind by an update

A server running an older build than the players refuses them. This one checks Steam for a new build every 30 minutes and restarts onto it as soon as nobody is playing, or within the hour, saving the world first. A daily restart at a time you choose keeps long sessions smooth.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our hosting service

$4.49/month for 8 players (1.5 vCores, 3 GB of RAM, 10 GB of storage), $5.49/month for 16 players (2 vCores, 4.5 GB, 15 GB) and $5.99/month for 32 players (2.5 vCores, 5.5 GB, 20 GB). Billing is pay-as-you-go with no long-term contract.
Steam players open Join Game, then Join via Game ID, and paste the server's Game ID from the dashboard. Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store and GOG players open Join via IP and paste one line from the Join & Access tab, which fills in the address, the port and the password.
Between the PC stores, yes: Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store and GOG players can all play on the same server. You can limit it to one store in Deployment Settings. The dedicated server accepts the PC stores only: its own documentation lists Steam, Epic, Microsoft and GOG as the platforms it takes, and no console, so PlayStation, Xbox and Switch players cannot join it.
Yes. A world is one file, the same in your game and on a server. On Windows it is in AppData\LocalLow\Pugstorm\Core Keeper\Steam\<number>\worlds. Upload it in the Worlds tab into a free slot and press Play. Characters stay with each player and come along to any world.
Thirty, in slots 0 to 29, and it plays one at a time. Switch between them in the Worlds tab, or make a new one with its own mode (Normal, Hard, Casual or Creative) and seed. The others are kept exactly as they were.
Yes. Download a mod's .zip from mod.io and upload it in the Mods tab; switch mods on and off there. A dedicated server does not send its mods to the players joining it: mods work as long as every player has the same mods installed, at the same versions, which each player does in game, under Mods in the main menu.
