Tip:Abiotic Factor takes at most 24 players. The player count of a plan is where Max Players starts and the number its hardware is sized for, never a cap: set up to 24 on any plan if you like.
How the plans are sized
The server itself takes about 1.1 GB; the rest of each plan is room for your players and the parts of the Facility they keep loaded. We have not measured a full crew yet, so if yours is crowded, step up a plan. If your crew outgrows one, the Hardware tab adds CPU, RAM or disk.
Included on every plan
- Crossplay for PC, PlayStation and Xbox, or a server kept to one platform.
- The launch settings and every sandbox rule in a form, with the game's defaults and presets.
- Worlds: switch, start new ones, upload your PC save, download any world.
- Admins by SteamID, and the in-game admin password.
- Backups on every start and every six hours, and restarts onto new game builds when the server is empty.
- DDoS protection, and your data synced to a standby node.
Frequently asked questions
How much does an Abiotic Factor server cost?
On Flux, $5.49/month for 6 players (2 vCores, 5 GB), $7.99/month for 12 players (3 vCores, 8 GB) and $9.99/month for 24 players (4 vCores, 12 GB), with no contract.
Does the world save when the server stops?
Not by the stop itself: the game autosaves every 5 minutes and cannot be told to save sooner, so a stop or a restart can lose up to 5 minutes. Every world is also backed up on start and every six hours.
