Why Host Your CS2 Server on Flux?

Counter-Strike 2 lives on community servers: a retakes server for practice, a weekly scrim with MatchZy, an arms race night, a Workshop map pool of your own. A dedicated CS2 server keeps yours running around the clock, with your modes, your plugins and your rules, whether or not your own PC is on.

Every plan here has dedicated vCores and memory, reserved for your server rather than shared, on a decentralized cloud of thousands of independent nodes across 50+ countries.

The fiddly parts are handled. There is no SteamCMD, no launch line and no gameinfo.gi to patch after every update: the name, game mode, starting map, Steam token and passwords are a form, the plugins are a switch, the port is opened for you, and the server installs the latest game and addons on every start. The first start downloads about 70 GB, so give it a while; after that a restart takes about a minute. Your files are synced to a standby node, and enterprise-grade DDoS protection is included on every plan.

You still get an ordinary management panel, and more: an Overview that says what the server is doing, game modes, maps and the Workshop, plugins, admins, bans, settings as a form, a live console and backups. Plans start at $5.99/month for 10 players, and you can raise Max Players yourself up to the game’s 64 on any plan. Billing is pay-as-you-go with no contract, and your files are downloadable whenever you want them.

Counter-Strike 2 Server Features Explained

Every game mode, switched live

Competitive, casual, wingman, deathmatch and arms race, each with the game’s own game_type and game_mode. Pick one in the Game Mode tab and the running server changes map to start it; the mode it comes back to after a restart is a setting. The Overview always says what the server is playing.

Settings as a form, with the mode’s own rules left alone

Round time, freeze time, rounds per match, money, friendly fire, respawns, bots, voice and more, 34 settings in six groups. A setting you leave alone stays the game mode’s own, so casual and competitive keep their own rules; one you set wins. Each value is checked, saved and applied to the running server at once.

Workshop maps and your own map cycle

Paste a Steam Workshop link and the server downloads that map from Steam, with no login, and changes to it. Set a whole Workshop collection as the map group, or put stock maps in an order of your own that players can vote on with the map vote plugin.

Plugins that survive Valve’s updates, or fall back safely

Metamod and CounterStrikeSharp are installed and updated on every start, and the line that loads them is put back after each game update. Install MatchZy, Retakes, Deathmatch or a map vote in one click. If an update breaks the addons, the server starts without them (safe mode) so it stays playable, and the Overview tells you.

A live console and admins, with no RCON setup

The Server Console lists who is on with their SteamIDs, and kicks, bans, chats, changes map, restarts the match and adds or removes bots, inside your server. The Admins tab gives players ready-made roles (owner, admin, moderator, reserved slot) and reloads them on the running server when you save.

A Steam token that says what is wrong

The Overview tells you whether your server has a Steam token, whether Steam accepted it, and how to make one if not, so a server that is missing from the browser is never a mystery.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our hosting service

$5.99/month for the 10-player plan (2 vCores, 3 GB of RAM, 100 GB of storage), $7.99/month for 24 players (3 vCores, 4.5 GB, 110 GB) and $9.49/month for 64 players (4 vCores, 6 GB, 120 GB). Billing is pay-as-you-go with no long-term contract.
No. The player count on each plan is where Max Players starts, not a limit: you can change it yourself in Deployment Settings, up to the game's own maximum of 64. The bigger plans simply give a busy server more cores and memory.
To be listed in the community server browser, yes: a free Game Server Login Token for App ID 730, made at steamcommunity.com/dev/managegameservers. Without one the server still runs and friends can join with connect and its address. A token Steam rejects stops players joining, and the Overview tab tells you if that happens and how to make a new one.
Competitive, casual, wingman, deathmatch and arms race. The Game Mode tab switches the running server to any of them (it changes the map to start the mode), and Game Mode in Deployment Settings is the mode the server starts in.
Yes. Metamod and CounterStrikeSharp are installed and kept up to date, and the Plugins tab installs MatchZy, Retakes (with Instadefuse and Clutch Announce), Deathmatch and GG1 MapChooser in one click. Retakes and Deathmatch conflict, and the tab warns you. You can also upload your own plugin zip.
The server checks Steam for a new build every time it starts, and puts the line that loads Metamod back into the game's files. A big update can break Metamod or CounterStrikeSharp until their authors release a new version: the server then starts without them (safe mode) so it stays playable, keeps your plugins, configs and admins, and tries again after an addon or game update. The Overview and Plugins tabs say when this has happened.
