The plugin tab
- Metamod and CounterStrikeSharp are on by default and updated on every start. Plugins in Deployment Settings turns them off, which runs the game as Valve ships it; plugins, configs and admins are kept.
- The catalogue installs a plugin from its author's GitHub release in one click: MatchZy (scrims and matches), Retakes with Instadefuse and Clutch Announce, Deathmatch, and GG1 MapChooser (map votes, !rtv and !nominate).
- Plugins switch on and off without being deleted, and you can upload your own plugin zip.
- Retakes and Deathmatch conflict, and the tab warns before you run both.
- Plugins load when the server starts, so a change applies after a restart. Admins are applied the moment you save.
After a Valve update
Every game update rewrites the file that loads Metamod, and a big update can break Metamod or CounterStrikeSharp until their authors catch up. Our image puts the loading line back on every start. If the server then dies twice in a row with the addons, it starts without them (safe mode) so it stays playable, keeping every plugin, config and admin, and tries again after an addon or game update. The Overview and Plugins tabs say when this has happened.
Admins
The Admins tab lists CounterStrikeSharp admins by SteamID64 with ready-made roles (Owner, Admin, Moderator, Reserved slot) and every permission as a checkbox. Admin rights need the addons to be loaded.
Frequently asked questions
Will plugins break when CS2 updates?
Sometimes, for a short while. The server then starts without them in safe mode and returns to normal when updated builds are out.
Do players need to install anything?
No. Plugins run on the server; players just connect.
