How to Join a Counter-Strike 2 Server

There are two ways in: the address (always works) and the community server browser (needs the owner's Steam token).

By address

  1. In Counter-Strike 2 open Settings, Game, and turn on "Enable Developer Console".
  2. Press the ~ key to open the console.
  3. Type connect followed by the address and port from your dashboard, for example connect 203.0.113.9:27015.
  4. With a join password, type connect 203.0.113.9:27015; password yourpassword, or enter it when asked.

From the browser

Choose Play, then Community Servers, and search for the server's name. It only appears there when the owner has set a Steam token, and filters (map, mode, region) can hide it.

Tip:Port: the dashboard shows the exact address and port. A server on Flux can use a port other than 27015, so always copy the full address.

Frequently asked questions

I cannot find the server in the browser, can I still join?

Yes. connect with the address and port always works; the browser listing needs a Steam token.

Can the owner switch the mode while I play?

Yes. A mode switch changes the map, so players are moved onto the new map and reconnect automatically.
