Admin.ini
Admin.ini sits in SaveGames/Server. Under [Moderators], one Moderator=<SteamID64> line per admin (17 digits starting 7656119); a comment line above it is a handy place to write whose ID it is. Under [BannedPlayers], one BannedPlayer=<SteamID64> line per banned player. The server reads the file as it starts. The Admins tab edits both lists and applies them with one restart.
The admin password
Start the server with -AdminPassword=<password> and any player who enters that password in the game becomes an admin. It is shared by everyone who knows it, so make it a long one, or leave it off and use the moderators list.
Finding a SteamID64
- In Steam, click your name at the top right, then Account Details: the ID is shown under your account name.
- Or open the Steam profile: a profile link of the form steamcommunity.com/profiles/7656119… ends in it.
- On Flux, paste the profile link into the Admins tab and it takes the number from it. If your profile has a custom URL (steamcommunity.com/id/name), steamid.io turns it into the number.
What admins do
Admins use the game's own admin tools in game. There is nothing to type in a console on the server side: it has none, and no RCON.
Frequently asked questions
How do I kick or ban someone on my Abiotic Factor server?
Be an admin (your SteamID64 in the Admins tab, or the in-game admin password) and use the game's admin tools in game. To ban someone who is not online, or to undo a ban, add or remove their SteamID64 under Banned players in the Admins tab; the server has no RCON, so the list applies at the next start.
Is there RCON for Abiotic Factor?
No. The dedicated server logs "Remote console through HTTPS is explicitly disabled" and takes no console commands.
