How to Join an Abiotic Factor Dedicated Server

A dedicated server is joined from the game's own multiplayer menu: find it in the server list by its name and type the password if it has one.

From the server list

  1. Start Abiotic Factor and open the multiplayer server list.
  2. Search for the server by its name (the Server Name you set) and pick it.
  3. Type the password if the server has one.
Tip:Steam's own server browser (View, Game Servers, Favorites, Add a server) takes the address with the QUERY port (27015 by default), not the game port.

Crossplay

A server started with no platform limit lets PC, PlayStation and Xbox players join. Starting it with -PlatformLimited=PC, Playstation or Xbox keeps it to that platform; on Flux, that is the Who Can Join setting. A player on a platform the server is limited away from will not be able to join it.

Before you join

  • The server and your game must be on the same build. A server on Flux installs the newest build on every start and restarts onto a new one by itself.
  • The server takes at most its Max Players (24 at the most).
  • A server still loading is not in the list yet: about 15 seconds after a restart, and a minute and a half after the very first start.
