- It is still loading. The island takes about a minute and a half after every start, and the very first start downloads 15.5 GB first. The Overview tab says what the server is doing.
- Use the address. If the server is not in the list yet, connect to the address and game port in the dashboard.
- The ports. A server you host yourself needs the game port open over UDP and the port two above it over TCP, and forwarded on the router. On Flux this is done for you.
- The password. It must be typed exactly as it was set, and it is case sensitive.
- The player limit. Max Players is set in the Server Settings tab.
- The private lists. Check that you are not on the banned list, and that the "only these" list is empty unless the server is meant to be private.
- The build. A server behind the game refuses players on the new version. Ours checks Steam every 30 minutes and restarts onto a new build once it is empty; a server you host yourself needs updating with SteamCMD.
Tip:The server answers no Steam query, so tools that probe servers with the Steam protocol will show it as offline even when it is up. Check the Overview tab instead.
Still stuck? Open the Console tab and read the game's log, or ask on the Flux Discord.
Frequently asked questions
Why does a server browser tool show my SCUM server offline?
The server answers no Steam query on any port (measured), so a tool that relies on one cannot see it. Players find it by name in the game.
