Zelcore 8.38: Scam Screening, Ergo Protection and XDC Network

Fluxers! Zelcore 8.38.0 is out, and it is a security release first and foremost. Zelcore now screens the addresses, tokens and dApps you interact with against known scam and drainer lists, protects every Ergo token you hold from storage rent, adds XDC Network as a fully supported chain, and brings 142 new tokens across nine chains.

Here is everything in it.

Scam and drainer screening

The most common way people lose crypto today is not a broken wallet — it is signing something they should not have. A poisoned address pasted from history, a token spender that turns out to be a drainer, a dApp that looks legitimate and is not.

So before you send, swap, or approve a WalletConnect request, Zelcore now checks the recipient, the token spender and the dApp against known scam and drainer lists, and warns you in red when something matches. For a known scam, Zelcore asks for an explicit confirmation before it will sign. WalletConnect requests and proposals carry clearer warnings too, and a flagged approval during a swap is worded so there is no mistaking what you are overriding.

It is on by default, and you can turn it off any time under Settings → Security.

A spam token filter

Airdropped junk tokens are a nuisance at best and bait at worst. Switch on Hide spam tokens under Settings → Security, and anything flagged as a honeypot, a fake or an airdrop scam stays out of your portfolio. Nothing is deleted: hidden tokens remain under Asset Management, and you can show any you actually want.

Your Ergo tokens, protected

When we published Four Years, Eighteen Minutes, we promised that Zelcore would stay on Ergo and change loudly. This is that change.

On Ergo, a box that sits unmoved for four years with too little ERG can be claimed by anyone, without your private key, tokens included. Zelcore now looks for that risk for you:

• A check at every login. Right after you sign in, Zelcore scans the Ergo address of every wallet with Ergo activated.
• A clear list of what is at risk. If any Ergo token box will become claimable within a year, a dialog shows each affected wallet, its tokens and the date.
• One tap to fix it. Secure my tokens performs a self-transfer that consolidates them into a single box carrying enough ERG to cover storage rent for decades.
• It keeps reminding you. The alert returns at every login until the tokens are secured, and the Ergo send screen links to it while a wallet is at risk.

And every Ergo token transfer now attaches 1 ERG to the recipient’s box instead of the 0.001 ERG network minimum — decades of rent coverage instead of a four-year fuse. Sending a token therefore needs at least 1 ERG plus the fee in your wallet. Swaps and Fusion deposits keep the network minimum, since the provider sweeps those deposits straight away.

A reminder for Flux holders: the Flux–Ergo bridge is terminated. FLUX balances on Ergo at block 1,878,291 (21 September 2026) are honored 1:1 and can be claimed inside Fusion from early October. Do not buy FLUX on Ergo, and treat any claim site outside Fusion as a scam.

XDC Network, fully supported

XDC joins Zelcore as a complete chain: balances, transaction history, sending, receiving and CSV export. USDC and Wrapped XDC ship with it, and any other XDC token can be added by its contract address.

XDC addresses have two spellings, and Zelcore handles both. Addresses written the xdc… way are accepted anywhere you send XDC or an XDC token. Paste one into a different network’s send screen and Zelcore refuses it, and tells you which network it belongs to — so funds never land on the wrong chain. The Receive screen shows both the 0x… and xdc… forms of your address, each with its own copy button.

142 new tokens

We added 142 popular tokens across Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Solana, TON, Sui and Cardano, so more of what you can swap in Zelcore is now something you can hold in Zelcore too.

Fixes worth knowing about

• Solana staking. Solana raised the minimum for a new stake account to 1 SOL. The Earn wizard now asks for at least 1.0023 SOL up front instead of failing at the last step, and the confirmation shows the validator your stake actually goes to.
• Flux Earn redeem. Redeeming an expired Titan stake now shows and pays out the full amount, stake included.
• Stable Assets. Seventeen stablecoins that were missing from the Stable Assets group — including USDC on BNB Smart Chain and USDT on Arbitrum and Optimism — are back where they belong.
• Stale balances. On chains that read tokens one at a time, an unreachable node used to leave old balances on screen with no warning. That is now reported as the error it is.

Get it

Zelcore updates itself on desktop, and the new version is available from zelcore.io/download. If you hold anything on Ergo, log in after updating — Zelcore will tell you straight away whether any of your tokens need securing.
