The admin password
AdminPassword in LinuxServer-KFGame.ini. Set one: with none, the web admin cannot be used. No spaces, quotes, ?, & or =.
In the game's console
Open the console (Tab or ~) and type AdminLogin <password>. Then:
- Kick <name>: kick a player.
- KickBan <name>: kick and ban a player.
- SwitchLevel <map>: change to a map now, for example SwitchLevel KF-Outpost.
- RestartMap: start the current map again.
- Pause: pause the game, if Admins can pause is on.
- AdminLogOut: end the admin session.
The web admin
Set bEnabled=true in KFWeb.ini and open TCP 8080 (it is off by default). Log in as Admin with the admin password. It lists the players with kick and ban, changes the map and mode, edits the passwords and the ban list, and has its own settings pages. It is plain HTTP: keep the password strong, and put it behind a VPN or a reverse proxy if it faces the internet.
Bans
Bans are SteamID64s saved in LinuxServer-KFGame.ini as BannedIDs=(Uid=(A=...,B=...)). On a running server add and lift them through the web admin; editing the file while it runs is undone. A SteamID64 is 17 digits starting 7656119.
On Flux
The Players & Bans tab shows who is on with their SteamIDs, and kicks or bans with one click, using the web admin from inside the container so nothing extra is exposed. The ban list is editable by SteamID or profile link, live.
Frequently asked questions
Can I have several admins?
They share the admin password; the game has no separate admin accounts. Give the password only to people you trust, and change it when someone leaves.
Does a ban survive a restart?
Yes. Bans are written to the server's ini and, on Flux, synced with the rest of your data.
